I’ve seen these everywhere, from booktube to the blogosphere and I thought it’d be nice to write my own. These are some books that I’ve gotten over the past 2 weeks and I just thought I’d share them.

Second Hand Physical Books

My local library opened up a second hand bookstore where the books are between $1 and $2.50, so of course I had to visit. Unfortunately, the YA section is pretty small, so I was only able to find 3 books.
Uglies by Scott Westerfield, which was recommended to me by a friend.
Wonder by R.J. Palacio, which I read when I was younger and liked (I feel like every kid needs to read this one).
And finally, Steelheart (Reckoners, #1) by Brandon Sanderson. I mean, it’s Brandon Sanderson. And science fiction, so I just had to get it.

New Physical Books

I finally went to Barnes and Noble for the first time in months. I spent an hour there, just browsing the shelves and relaxing. I love the vibes of bookstores.
Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson is one of my favorite books that I don’t talk about enough. I’m glad I finally have a copy of it.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson has been on my TBR forever and its insanely popular, so hopefully now I’m finally going to read it.
The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, another favorite. Also, I’m really curious, are you guys team Grayson or Jameson? Grayson for me.
Dance of Thieves by Mary. E. Pearson seems so interesting. Enemies to lovers, criminals, fantasy . . . I’m really excited for this.

Library Books

THAT COVER. Also, this is about video games, which I have no interest in, but it has a pretty high rating, so I’m going to try it.

I’m kind of terrified for the ending of this, but hey, at least the cover’s nice.

As someone who plays an instrument myself (viola!), I’m really interested in this. And besides, Marie Lu is a fantastic author.

Have you read any of these? What do you think about book hauls? Leave your thoughts on this post in the comments below!

I read Kingdom of Back a few months ago and I absolutely adored it, hope you enjoy it too! Happy reading!✨💗

Before I get into the books, I’d like to say how aesthetically pleasing it was to read this post, Ritz! I usually read the posts on the WP reader but it glitched so I came over here, and it’s so pretty ♥ AND you are so lucky to have irl books 🥺I only read on the kindle now! And lastly, I hope you like the Sorcery of thorns – I’ve heard its great 🙂 Have an awesome November 💗

I read the Inheritance Games a while back and it was fantastic, I love it. Have you read the 2nd book yet? I didn’t like it as much as the first one. And also, team Grayson or Jameson?

Yep I did. I agree. The second book wasn’t as good but it was still good I guess. I think the story was unnecessarily stretched. I mean it could have easily been a duology but I am still gonna read the third book haha. And I still debating between Grayson and Jameson; we didn’t get a lot of good Grayson moments for me to decide. Wbu?

It definitely was stretched haha. I’m team Grayson; I just loved him in the first book and yeah, I agree, there weren’t that many scenes with him in book 2.

Luck of the Titanic is such a good book! And I really want to read A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, so many people seem to have read it. The Kingdom of Back looks so interesting, definitely adding that to my TBR.

SLAY IS AMAZING. I don’t care for video games either, but it was SUCH a good book. The main plot is around the video game that she made, but it’s honestly just such a cool concept for a game, and the book is great too.
Also, I hope that you love Kingdom of Back! I read it a while ago, I remember finding it kind of boring at times but it was really cool to see the new perspective and stuff! My favorite thing ever from that book is just the fact that Mozart looked up to and idolized his older sister, the main character. Like that’s just so fun to hear, since he’s one of the most amazing composers EVER and he totally looked up to her!!! (I mean idk if that’s true or just something that Marie Lu made up but….I really really really hope it’s true)

I had no idea about that! That’s really cool, it’d be so awesome if it’s true.
