3 Things About Me

  • I really like animated/anime shows. This is kind of embarrassing, but I love watching kids shows like the Dragon Prince, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, even . . . Ever After High.
  • Okay. Are you done laughing? Then I can get onto my next fact, which is I love baking. Usually, the things I make taste good, but are pretty bad in the looks department.
  • My final fact about me is that I want to get a dog. My dad says he’s allergic, but I haven’t seen any proof . . .

Brooke’s Questions

What are a few things that you think are the best about blogging?

I think it’s such a cool way to express your thoughts and interact with other people. I love meeting other book bloggers, it’s such a nice community.

Name 5 things you couldn’t live without and a little bit why:

  1. Can I just say books? Just books in general, you know?
  2. My Laptop. Yes, I need my laptop. I use it for . . . well, everything.
  3. Chocolate. What’s the explanation for this one? I love chocolate.
  4. Music. I listen to music all the time because I don’t like listening to people speak.
  5. Words. That’s really random, but words are very helpful.

Name 3 books you will never forget:

  1. Anything by Marissa Meyer. I don’t care that that’s more than 3 books.
  2. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo.
  3. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir.

What is something that you have done, can do, or a place you have been where not many people can do/do?

Er, I don’t know. My life is pretty uneventful, which is probably why I love reading fiction. I mean, I could say, the time I went Whitewater Rafting. That was pretty fun. Random thing; I want to go skydiving when I’m old enough. Scary? Yes. Would I regret doing it? Of course not.

A book you really want to buy:

Fable (Fable, #1) by Adrienne Young. I really, really want to read this.

Susana’s Questions

What is an assumption people make about you that isn’t true at all?

A lot of people think I’m really smart. Not really. Just because I like reading doesn’t mean I’m a genius.

What is a movie/TV series adaptation that you think is actually better than the book?

Hmm. I don’t think I have any. I mean, except maybe the Hunger Games? I really liked that movie, I feel like Jennifer Lawrence did a great job portraying Katniss.

What is your least favorite character of all time?

I have 2. They’re both from the Selection.

First, little Ms. America Singer. If you’ve been here a while, you’ll know how much I despise her.

And also, Mr. Aspen ____ (I forgot his last name, because who cares?). They both suck. Aspen even more than America.

Do you play any instruments? If not, would you like to?

I do! I play both piano and viola.

What is a book everyone seems to hate but you love?

Can I do the opposite of this question? A book everyone seems to love but I hate, it’s definitely Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas. I really didn’t like this one, but everyone else seems to love it.

My Questions

  1. What’s your favorite thing about blogging?
  2. Do you have any guilty pleasures?
  3. What are some names you really like?
  4. Do you have any siblings? Are you close with them?
  5. Have you ever considered doing Booktube? Why or why not?

So here are the bloggers I tag:

What are some interesting things that you have done? What’s a book you really want to buy? Again, big thanks to Brooke and Susana for tagging me! Leave your thoughts on this post in the comments below!

  1. DONT WORRY I LIKE KIDS SHOWS TOO!
Haha okay but THANK YOU for mentioning The Dragon Prince. It’s SO MUCH LESS POPULAR than ATLA but I like it WAAAAAAAAY better. Ughughugh I cannot believe we have to wait till december for season 4, season 3 came out in NOVEMBER 2019!!! THATS MORE THAN A YEAR AGO!!!
Also, my friend is TOTALLY obsessed with Miraculous and she’s currently showing it to me and it’s not bad. I mean obviously totally cringey but it’s a fun show! I’m only like halfway through season two though, so no spoilers!
Sorry for the abundance of exclamation marks, I must be tired…
Also I honestly just saw that you liked shows and kept that in my head so I could write a comment after I finished the rest of the post but that may or may not have hindered my ability to retain any of the info from the rest of the post.
    *going back to read*
I agree with the five things you couldn’t live without, haha chocolate is amazing. And I’m practically glued to my laptop yikesssssss.
That’s so cool you play viola! I play violin, like basically half of America (the country not the character haha), but viola’s a super cool instrument, I have some friends who play.
Congrats on getting nominated and this was such a fun post to read!

      1. Haha we have, like, the same exact taste in shows. Honestly, I don’t watch many shows but my friends have gotten me to watch more. But yeahhhhh I mean covid obviously stalled that but by the time season 4 comes out it will have been two. years. since season three came out. Aaaaah. I’m currently rewatching dragon prince and now I can’t wait for season four.

        1. Haha we do. Yeah, because of quarantine I’ve watched so many shows, and also almost all the Marvel and Star Wars movies. And yeah, I don’t understand why they need 2 YEARS to do season 4, you know? I mean, it’s prob because of covid, but STILL. It shouldn’t take SO long. And I’m currently rewatching JATP haha.

          1. Yeah, I mean my friends really roped me into watching shows haha. Oooh, I have a friend who’s showing me marvel, I’ve only watched Captain America so far (I’ve also watched Black Panther, but she’s only shown me captain america so far). There are a LOT of movies though. And Star Wars, I’ve watched one of them. It’s eh. Yeah. I think they were planning on putting out season four in May 2020 but then Covid started and they couldn’t make it and uhhhh yeah I really don’t know.
Haha I’m also rewatching JATP! I just started showing it to my other friend yesterday but I only showed one episode. She says she’s gonna binge it though and I don’t watch shows fast sooooooo I dunno if we’ll actually get to watch it together haha.
Oh my gosh there’s a JATP book like someone wrote a book when JATP came out that’s literally the show but…as a book. I didn’t read it but my sister did and she said that it was awful. It really did sound awful lol. But now I sorta wanna read it just to see how bad it is and rate it badly on goodreads. It has terrible ratings on goodreads.

          2. Haha yeah my dad is obsessed with Marvel so he makes us watch them often.
I’ve been TRYING to get my friends to watch JATP but they are being so stubborn. Like why don’t you want to watch it? Because it’s for younger people? HELLO? It’s so freaking good.
Wait really? That’s so weird, now I wanna read it.
*proceeds to check it out on goodreads*

Ohh that looks terrible but I still wanna read it to see how bad it is.

          3. Not me completely forgetting about this comment oops haha.
Haha yeah I mean Marvel isn’t thaaaaat bad so far but it’s just…eh.
Oh noooo not stubborn friends! I mean, for me, I’ve been watching it WITH my friends, through this thing called Teleparty where it syncs up whatever you’re watching with everyone else in the party and there’s a chat on the side so you can talk while watching it. Yeahhhh it’s really good.
Haha the book does look awful. My sister read me the part when the guys appeared and it was like ‘three guys suddenly appeared. Correction: three cute guys’ and just like NO. That’s NOT Julie. even if she did say that they’re cute at one point in episode 1, NO! I do not think she’d say that at ALLLLL. I sooooorta wanna read it as well but too late it’s been returned to the library and I don’t wanna check it out again.

          4. Yeah, exactly. I don’t remember the other things my sister quoted at me (haha) but I do remember that when they sing songs, they apparently just stuck the lyrics in the book and for Finally Free they just…completely skipped a bunch of lyrics???

          5. I mean, I personally feel like it just…didn’t have to be turned into a book. It was a show not a book in the first place for a reason. There are just some things better as shows, especially since JATP has so much music in it, than as books.

  2. Congrats!! ❤ I love your answers to all of the questions! Ahhh America the Singer and Asspen Tree. *cheers to Marissa Meyer*

  3. Congrats on the award!! Omg the dragon prince is so under hyped!! Love that show. I also really want to own Fable I’ve heard such good things about it! Loved reading your answers ❤️

  4. Yayyy I loved reading your answers!!
I so get you with the assumption that you are smart just because you read – i get that all the damn time!
I’ve only read the first book of the Selection series but I didn’t really like Aspen all that much either, I gather that he probably gets much more annoying as the series goes on though
Another piano player *high five* 🙏
I actually wasn’t sure whether I wanted to keep the last question as it was or write the opposite so I’m glad you took the freedom and did it how you prefered 😀 I still haven’t read Throne of Glass but I’m curious to see what I’ll think about Queen of Shadows if I get that far in the series 😛
